You will support senior portfolio managers in cash, liquidity management and portfolio construction across different asset classes, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with liability driven investment objectives. The role involves close collaboration across Investment, Investment Operations, Actuarial, Risk and Finance functions to deliver robust portfolio implementation, analysis, and reporting. You will also be involved in various investment transformation projects and be part of a dynamic investment team that encourages cross function collaborations and teamwork with a can do attitude.

The Job

  • Support senior portfolio managers in optimising and execute cash management, and portfolio construction, in line with strategic asset allocation objectives

  • Contribute to asset allocation, portfolio positioning, and implementation decisions across asset classes

  • Maintain and enhance business planning models to project future asset allocation and cashflow requirements

  • Prepare regular portfolio analytics and investment reports for internal stakeholders and external parties

  • Track and monitor external investment managers against agreed targets, guidelines, and deliverables

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Bloomberg AIM and the internal portfolio management database to ensure data integrity, efficiency, and control

  • Conduct fund and portfolio analysis and respond to ad‑hoc information and research requests from internal and external stakeholders

  • Support investment transformation and other initiatives related to investment, operations and portfolio management

The Person

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong analytical capabilities, sound investment knowledge, and a proactive mindset.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline CFA qualification or candidacy is a plus

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in investment management or in a finance related discipline experience in the insurance industry is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with less than 5 years of work experience will also be considered, subject to prior exposures and industry experience

  • Solid understanding of portfolio management, asset allocation, financial markets and investment principles across major asset classes

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and able to manage multiple priorities while addressing competing demands

  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Track record in being a strong team player with demonstrated support of other functions as and when needed

  • Background knowledge in actuarial science, accounting, or risk management is an advantage but not a requirement

  • Demonstrated interest in automation and process improvement experience with Excel VBA and Power BI is highly desirable

  • Proficient in Bloomberg (AIM, PM, PORT), Microsoft Excel, Co-Pilot and PowerPoint
