Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our subsidiaries across the Taiwan Region. Reporting to the Taiwan Finance Manager, you will work closely with the local and regional finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and timely month-end close. The ideal candidate has strong experience in the manufacturing sector and a solid working knowledge of local statutory regulations and generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, account and expense review, and preparation of financial schedules and reports.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and other schedules; coordinate with local and regional accounting teams to meet month-end closing deadlines.
- Analyze monthly results, investigate variances, and prepare Corporate-required reports; respond to information requests and enquiries from corporate stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the costing team to review costing outputs, inventory and price variances, and ensure these are properly reflected in financial reporting.
- Prepare and organize PBC (Prepared By Client) documentation for interim and year-end financial and tax audits.
- Support VAT preparation and filing, maintaining accurate documentation to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Assist with year‑end physical inventory counts and provide support during external audit fieldwork.
- Assist with corporate administrative filings and documentation, including company registration matters, shareholder and board of director records, and responses to government surveys.
- Perform ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- University graduate in accounting or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector.
- Prior experience at a CPA firm is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan statutory regulations, VAT procedures, and GAAP.
- Proven proficiency with ERP/accounting systems; advanced Excel skills required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.
- Solid communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across functions and regions.
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
