The Job

  • Handle daily accounting operations, including premium receipts, refunds, and payment processing

  • Perform month end closing activities, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Review and monitor bank transactions, payment logs, and exception cases

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, AML and regulatory standards

  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and explanations

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Life Administration, Compliance, IT, and Customer Engagement

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements related to finance operations

  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required

  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience (insurance or financial services industry is preferred)

  • Professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA) is an advantage

  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls

  • Strong attention to detail, good analytical skills, and a high level of accuracy

  • Proactive, well organized, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight timelines

  • Good communication skills in both English and Chinese

  • Proficient in MS Excel, experience with premium collection system and accounting systems is an advantage
