Scientific Officer
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting with coordination of clinical studies evaluating drug and non-drug interventions in cardiometabolic disorders and medical nutrition (b) coordinating research and educational activities with academic, industrial partners and other institutions including those in the Greater Bay Area (c) writing and reporting of clinical research studies and (d) assisting in organisation of undergraduate and postgraduate educational courses relating to clinical research and drug use.
Applicants should have (i) a PhD degree in Science/Medical Sciences or a related discipline (ii) at least 2 years of clinical or scientific research and/or laboratory management experience(iii) expertise in trial coordination, ethics and regulatory applications, data collection, analysis and report writing (iv) good organisation and communication skills (v) experience in delivery of undergraduate or postgraduate courses and (vi) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
