The Scope

You will be part of Esco Aster's Sales & Marketing team and contribute towards the overall site mission and objectives. In this role, you will primarily drive pre-sales and business development efforts, managing the client pipeline from initial lead generation to successful project handover, while ensuring strong customer relationships and alignment with internal technical teams.

Reporting to: Head of Scientific & Sales Operations

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive Business Development & Pre-Sales: Actively lead pre-sales initiatives for CDMO/CRDMO bioprocess services. This includes lead generation, qualification, targeted customer outreach, and driving technical and commercial negotiations for projects across cell therapy, CAR-T therapy, exosomes/extracellular vesicles, biologics, and cellular agriculture.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build, nurture, and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive engagement. Ensure close follow-up on incoming inquiries, project progress, timelines, and ongoing technical discussions throughout the entire project lifecycle.

  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary bridge between prospective customers and internal technical teams to accurately capture project requirements and translate them into scientifically and commercially feasible solutions.

  • Documentation & Agreements: Prepare, review, and manage high-quality study proposals, technical presentations, commercial quotations, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and master service agreements.

  • Technology Transfer & Handover: Facilitate and support seamless technology transfer and project handover activities, ensuring absolute alignment between the client and operations teams regarding scope, deliverables, timelines, and technical requirements.
  • Pipeline Management: Efficiently manage and track the sales pipeline, customer interactions, project updates, and opportunity progress using organizational tracking systems and tools.

  • Industry Representation: Represent Esco Aster at key industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and networking events to build industry connections, engage prospective clients, and gather market intelligence.

  • Marketing Support: Actively support marketing and business initiatives, including the development of promotional materials, coordination of exhibitions, and participation in promotional activities as required.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Undertake additional duties, administrative tasks, and cross-functional projects as assigned based on company and project needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Science or a related discipline.

  • Professional command of spoken and written English, with the proven ability to articulate complex technical project updates to diverse internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experienced with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or ERP systems for pipeline and account management.

  • Able to work independently, highly self-motivated, a self-starter, and strictly task-oriented. A collaborative team player who communicates constructively and treats colleagues with respect.

  • Developed interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive relationships, provide guidance, and successfully obtain buy-in from all levels of the organization.

  • Willing to perform multiple cross-functional tasks and take on an expanded scope of responsibilities as needed to set up workflows, processes, and teams during growth phases.
