Responsibilities

MaxLinear is seeking a Sales Director responsible for the key development and management of our Ethernet, Interface, Power, and Data Center product lines. This position requires a high level of product knowledge and strong leadership. The ideal candidate will define productsegment engagement strategies and lead a team to drive growth across the Broad Market, the data center segment, and through distributors.

The Sales Director will work closely with internal teams including Sales, FAE, Marketing, AE, Operations, and Finance, while engaging externally with customers, partners, and distributors.

In This Role, You Will Focus On The Following

  • Responsible for representing and growing MaxLinear revenue within Taiwan Market customer base.
  • Understand AMS and CSB product and Marketing.
  • Knowledgeable on data centers; has personal relationships with hyperscale customers and ODMs.
  • Work closely with distributors and is capable of driving business growth.
  • Develop business plans for each product segment that facilitates revenue growth over the short, medium and long term.
  • Utilize SFDC CRM platform to manage opportunity funnel and drive activity to focus segments and customers in addition to building relationships with MaxLinear international teams to enable cross territory support for customer opportunities.
  • Work with corporate MaxLinear team to enable accurate and timely forecasting, revenue tracking, quality support, quotations and general customer support backlog management.
  • Recognize and develop opportunities for new product expansion. The expectation is this role will generate NPI (New Product Introduction) which will require working closely with product lines on both technical feasibility and identification of target customer segments to support business case preparation.
  • Work closely with channel partners and the FAE team to ensure efficient utilization of resources for best-in-class customer support services.

Qualifications

  • BSEE required, MSEE preferred.
  • 10+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor industry, familiar with Taiwan Home Networking, Wi-Fi, Fiber and Industrial Market.
  • Assertive, customer focused, persistent, ambitious to achieve targets.
  • Well organized with strong communication (spoken and written English & Chinese) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse set of personalities and cultures along various levels of the organization and across time zones in real time.
  • Proactive self-starter with high energy willing to work hard to achieve agreed sales revenue growth.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the target customer segments within the territory, ideally the candidate will have worked directly in an engineering design capacity for a target customer in the past.
  • Direct local Representative experience an asset.
