The Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is dedicated to advancing teaching and learning excellence at the university level. We are seeking dedicated and passionate specialists to join our project team in promoting AI education and the integration of AI in education in local secondary and primary schools. This position offers the opportunity to receive training from renowned overseas and local universities, equipping you with the latest developments in AI in the educational landscape, as well as practical strategies for training teachers and parents about AI.
As a key member of the team, this position will play a crucial role in curriculum development, teacher training, parent education, and providing tailored support services to educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering positive learning experiences for teachers, parents, and students.

Applicants should have (i) a Master's degree, preferably in Education/ Information Technology/ Business Administration/ Communications plus four years post-qualification work experience in organising student activities or providing teaching support in primary and/or secondary schools (for Research Associate) or a Bachelor's degree or above in the abovementioned disciplines (for Research Assistant) (ii) a strong understanding of emerging technologies in STEAM education, with familiarity in AI concepts and their application in educational contexts (iii) excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with teachers, parents, and students (iv) great enthusiasm for a successful career in IT in Education and a commitment to fostering 21st-century skills in young learners (v) a collaborative work attitude, self-motivation, and a strong sense of commitment and (vi) proficiency in Cantonese, with fluency in English and Putonghua. Those with teaching experience will be an advantage. Additional qualifications, such as a PGDE, are highly desirable.
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) designing and delivering engaging, interactive workshops and training sessions on AI-related topics for teachers and parents (b) conducting presentations and training in a professional manner with content adapted to suit the needs of diverse audiences (c) analysing the specific needs of individual schools to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing AI education (d) developing effective strategies and providing customised support services to empower teachers and parents in integrating AI into their learning environments (e) organising and delivering a variety of enrichment activities for students, such as visits to AI start-ups or research centers, career talks, and AI competitions (f) fostering student engagement and enhancing their understanding of AI while inspiring them to explore future career opportunities in the field (g) collaborating with the curriculum development team to design, edit, and publish high-quality training materials and teaching and learning (T&L) resources for both teachers and students (h) preparing detailed plans, progress updates, and reports that effectively communicate the impact and outcomes of teacher support initiatives and (i) undertaking any additional projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English.
