Job Description

The Centre for Health Behaviours Research under The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care has been actively engaged in various public health research projects in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. Areas of interdisciplinary health research including promoting adolescent and the public's behavioral health and mental health. Emphasis is put on practical applications.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Psychology, Social or Health Sciences, or other relevant disciplines (ii) some statistical skills (iii) good interpersonal and communication skills and (iv) an excellent command of English and Cantonese. Prior experience and skills in conducting or co-ordinating research or leading group-based intervention projects would be advantageous. Self-learners are welcome to apply.

The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. He/She will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating various research functions (b) leading group-based health promotion projects and (c) performing data analysis. On-the-job training on research methodology, research paper publishing, social marketing, health promotion, biostatistics and epidemiology will be provided.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
