Job Description

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines (ii) willingness to learn and motivation to improve themselves technically (iii) interest in pursuing a career in software development (iv) experience in database technology, such as MySQL and MongoDB (v) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese and (vi) good organisational, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills. Candidates with experience in Flutter (which is mainly used framework, for mobile app development), Docker, CI/CD and data analysis using python libraries including pandas, numpy, etc is a plus. Having knowledge of ReactJS for web development, AWS services and familiarity with Git for source control would be advantageous. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) providing programming support to research projects (b) developing software and applications required by research projects (c) assisting with office and project IT related issues and (d) performing other job-related ad-hoc tasks.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
