Job Description

The Department of Educational Administration and Policy is looking for a keen and experienced Research Assistant / Junior Research Assistant to assist in research studies of contemplative pedagogy and holistic education.

Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Psychology, Education, Public health, Social Sciences, Social Work or related disciplines (ii) a proficient Cantonese and English speaker with strong communication skills (iii) well-organised, reliable and efficient (iv) readiness to make original contributions and to work with team members and (v) enthusiasm in research, especially in contemplative and holistic education. Relevant experience in related research is preferred.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) recruiting and communicating with student helpers and participants (b) arranging and conducting survey and research interviews (c) performing data analysis and writing reports (d) organising workshops and conferences (e) managing website and social media and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Working outside normal office hours may be required occasionally. On-the-job training will be provided as necessary.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
