The School of Life Sciences is looking for a Research Assistant to engage in research projects focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms of adult brain injury in Drosophila.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology, Biomedical Sciences Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline (ii) basic research laboratory techniques in molecular and cellular biology (iii) proficiency in handling Drosophila culture and (iv) effective interpersonal skills and the ability to cooperate and work with the rest of the laboratory as a team.
Duties include (a) conducting experiments related to the above-mentioned research projects (b) performing research administrative duties and (c) performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. On-the-job training will be provided.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing June 2026, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
