Job Description

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines (ii) hands-on experience in animal handling, tissue culture, and molecular analytical techniques (iii) experience in handling clinical samples and/or working with animal models would be an advantage, particularly in kidney disease or fibrosis-related research (iv) a strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team and (v) a high motivation and the ability to work in a dynamic research environment. Fresh graduates who are passionate about science and interested in postgraduate opportunities are welcome to apply.

The appointee will participate in research projects related to kidney diseases and work closely with other researchers in the Department at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. Duties include (a) assisting in the collection and processing of clinical samples (b) performing laboratory experiments related to cellular and molecular studies (c) supporting research involving animal models of kidney diseases (d) maintaining laboratory records and assisting in general laboratory management and (e) supporting ongoing research projects in the laboratory.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
