Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role within the Central Design & Build team, leading the delivery of data center development projects across Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Indonesia, Taiwan, and other APAC markets.

The job holder will require strong resilience and the ability to manage fast-paced, high-intensity projects while working under tight deadlines across multiple locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of new data center projects, facility expansions, and live upgrades.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resources, and execution plans, including 3-week lookahead schedules and monthly updates.

Oversee construction activities in coordination with onsite Project Managers and Area Superintendents.

Manage greenfield and brownfield projects, ensuring alignment with design, operational, and client requirements.

Monitor project progress, investigate issues, and implement corrective measures in line with company guidelines.

Maintain liaison with clients, consultants, subcontractors, authorities, and utility providers.

Track equipment and service delivery from Telco/Data Centers, Public Cloud Providers, and ICT distributors.

Provide regular progress reports, dashboards, and executive updates to senior management.

Negotiate and supervise the preparation of change orders.

Manage contract financials including progress billing, income/expenses, and rental equipment, balancing company interests with client relationships.

Implement project quality assurance frameworks and ensure adherence to corporate standards.

Identify and manage project risks, with prompt mitigation actions.

Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local building codes, statutory requirements, and safety regulations.

Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems perform according to design and operational requirements.

Coordinate final acceptance, documentation, training, and smooth handover to Operations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) or Project Management.

COMPETENCY AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS

Minimum 10 years of experience managing large-scale construction, data center, or mission-critical projects across different geographies.

Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and mission-critical systems, with hands-on experience in both design and commissioning.

Proven track record in managing new builds, expansions, and live facility upgrades across both greenfield and brownfield environments.

Solid understanding of governmental statutory submission requirements in Taiwan and/or other APAC regions.

Ability to provide comprehensive hyperscale data center project references, including IT load, utility capacity, redundancy configuration, project completion year, cooling system type, and other key technical parameters.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder groups in diverse cultural environments, including internal teams, consultants, contractors, authorities, and utility providers

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Strong proficiency in written English and Chinese, with fluent English and Mandarin speaking capabilities.

Working experience in Taiwan, and ideally with exposure to other Southeast Asian markets.
