(a MAS-licensed CMS holder permitted to carry out, inter alia, brokerage and custody services), MetaComp introduces its suite of services through CAMP (Client Assets Management Platform) which allow businesses to develop and scale their digital asset offerings through various products and/or services such as over-the-counter transactions, fiat payments, digital asset custody and prime brokerage.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple business and technology projects across MetaComp, working closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams.
This role requires a highly structured and hands-on individual who can translate business objectives into actionable project plans, coordinate stakeholders, identify risks and dependencies, and drive projects to successful completion.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced fintech environment, can manage ambiguity, and is capable of influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project management from initiation, planning and execution through to launch and post-implementation review.
- Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, timelines, resources, and success metrics.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, action trackers, and project documentation.
- Monitor project progress and ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved on schedule.
- Proactively identify project risks, issues, dependencies, and bottlenecks and drive appropriate mitigation plans.
- Escalate critical issues and provide management with clear recommendations and decision points.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Legal, Operations, Sales and other business functions.
- Establish clear ownership and accountability for project deliverables.
- Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, steering committees, and status updates.
- Ensure effective communication across teams and maintain alignment on project objectives and priorities.
- Manage conflicting priorities and drive stakeholders toward timely decisions and resolution.
Business & Technology Projects
- Manage projects involving new product launches, system implementations, process improvements, regulatory initiatives, market expansion, operational transformation, and technology delivery.
- Work with Product and Technology teams to translate business requirements into clear project deliverables.
- Coordinate UAT, implementation, migration, operational readiness, and go-live activities where applicable.
- Ensure business, operational, compliance, and technology requirements are incorporated into project plans.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, systems, and operational efficiency.
- Establish standardised project management methodologies, templates, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
- Drive continuous improvement across project execution and cross-functional collaboration.
Reporting & Governance
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions required.
- Prepare management reports, project dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure appropriate governance and approval processes are followed.
- Track project KPIs, budgets, resources, and delivery performance where applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within fintech, payments, financial services, technology, or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across seniority levels and functions.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently, take ownership, and drive projects forward in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payments, digital assets, banking, fintech, FX, cards, or financial infrastructure.
- Experience managing technology implementation or product delivery projects.
- Experience working with regulatory, compliance, AML/KYC, risk, or operational transformation projects.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience working with distributed or regional teams across multiple markets.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Lark, Confluence, Notion, Asana, or similar platforms.
