Job description
My client is a leading international bank with a long-standing presence in Hong Kong, serving as a regional hub for Asia-Pacific operations. The Hong Kong branch provides comprehensive corporate and institutional banking services, supporting cross-border financing, capital markets, and cash management across Greater China and the region. With recent success, they are looking to hire a project coordinator to join their technology team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day user support for Head Office and local banking applications and systems
- Coordinate IT system projects with Head Office teams, external vendors, IT specialists, business users, and other stakeholders
- Plan and organize project activities including user coordination, meetings, testing cycles, UAT, training sessions, and system go-live preparation
- Perform feasibility assessments and impact analysis for system enhancements and change requests
- Support system implementation and adjustments driven by regulatory and industry initiatives (e.g. HKMA / HKICL requirements)
- Participate in annual system exercises, drills, and scheduled testing activities
- Ensure project deliverables, timelines, and documentation meet internal standards and business expectations
Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IT project coordination, project management, or business application support
- Strong IT proficiency with good understanding of banking systems and financial applications
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and self-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams
- Good command of English and Chinese Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
