Project Co-ordinator II (The Hong Kong Genome Project)

The Hong Kong Genome Project is a new initiative that aims to enhance the clinical application of genomic medicine to benefit patients and their families, and promote research in genomic medicine and related fields to facilitate future medical development in Hong Kong. The Faculty of Medicine of CUHK is one of the partnering centres of the Project.

The appointee will work at the Department of Chemical Pathology at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) overseeing and managing the administrative work of the Hong Kong Genome Project partnering centre in the University (b) undertaking general liaison with the Hong Kong Genome Institute, the Hospital Authority, and other stakeholders on the execution of the Project (c) providing committee services and performing general executive duties (d) managing and co-ordinating the compilation of reports related to the Project and (e) performing other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) a good command of both English and Chinese (preferably with proficiency in Putonghua) (iii) strong interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills (iv) a self-motivated and hardworking attitude, and commitment to taking responsibility (v) the ability to work independently and under pressure, and as a good team member (vi) good computer literacy and (vii) at least 3 years work experience, with 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience at tertiary institutions and/or public organisations preferred.
