Project Co-ordinator II

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) has launched an Al education project since 2019, namely the CUHK Jockey Club Al for the Future Project, which aims to mainstream Al education through maintaining a sustainable Al education ecosystem among Hong Kong secondary schools. Led by the Faculties of Engineering and Education with funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Project engages secondary schools and teachers through the provision of a novel and comprehensive Al curriculum, all-inclusive Al courseware, hands-on learning on an e-platform and Al knowledge enrichment for teachers. To engage the public in Al education, the Project offers a wide variety of public education events to enhance public understanding towards Al technologies.

The appointee will be responsible for (a) planning, organising and executing educational events and workshops, etc. (b) delivering workshops and classes to teachers and students, fostering a deep understanding and enthusiasm for the materials (c) developing and enhancing course materials that align with the Project's objectives and needs (d) assisting in the creation of interactive and innovative teaching resources (e) liaising with internal and external parties to foster a close link with and a network amongst the Project, local secondary schools, and stakeholders (f) assisting in the development and management of online and offline communication collaterals (g) providing administrative and secretarial support to the Project, relevant committees and meetings and (h) performing other tasks as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a recognised Bachelor's degree, preferably with specialisation in education, education technology, science, or other STEM fields (ii) at least 3 years work experience in administration or project management (iii) a strong sense of responsibility, attentiveness to detail, the willingness to learn, and a positive and self-motivated work attitude (iv) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (v) strong organisational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills (vi) the ability to work independently and as a team member and (vii) an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). Having the willingness to travel to the Chinese Mainland on an irregular basis will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis with an end date of July 31, 2026, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
