Project Co-ordinator IIThe appointee will be responsible for (a) providing administrative and secretarial support to a postgraduate programme, including handling of admission and registration, course planning, class scheduling and timetabling, curriculum revisions, examination, etc. (b) organising academic and student activities (c) liaising with the University's internal academic and administrative units, and external professional organisations (d) assisting in office administration (e) handling the daily operation of the General Office and (f) performing other duties as assigned. Working beyond normal office hours or at weekends will be required occasionally.Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 2 years post-qualification relevant work experience, preferably in postgraduate programme administration (iii) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (v) good interpersonal skills, a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation and (vi) the ability to work independently.Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site. The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
