Project Co-ordinator II
The MSc Programme in Business Analytics (MScBA) offered by the Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology is recruiting a Project Coordinator II to assist in programme-related administration.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in the student admission exercise by vetting applications and handling admission documents (b) planning and co-ordinating programme events such as orientation, student gatherings and the graduation banquet (c) processing expense claims (d) supporting the programme's marketing plans (e) assisting in daily administration and student matters and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Working at flexible hours and at weekends will be required occasionally.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above (ii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) (iii) at least 2 years work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector (iv) high proficiency in MS Office applications (including Word and Excel) (v) the ability to work independently and as a team member (vi) a self-motivated work attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and (vii) excellent attentiveness to details. Prior experience in programme admissions and managing social media platforms will be advantageous. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
