Project Co-ordinator II(s)
InnoPort is CUHK's innovation and entrepreneurship hub, bringing together students, researchers, start-ups, alumni and industry partners to transform innovative ideas and research into real-world impact. Through incubation programmes, funding opportunities, competitions, events and networking activities, InnoPort fosters a vibrant and connected community of innovators and entrepreneurs.
The appointee(s) will support the Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO) in strengthening the visibility, engagement and community development of CUHK's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, with particular responsibilities in digital communications, multimedia content and community engagement. Duties include (a) managing KTO and InnoPort's social media platforms, editorial calendar and digital communication campaigns (b) developing and curating engaging content, including feature stories, newsletters, social media posts, videos, interviews and podcasts (c) planning and co-ordinating multimedia production, including filming, photography and podcast recording, and liaising with student teams and external service providers (d) developing initiatives to enhance digital reach, audience engagement, viewership and follower growth across different communication channels (e) organising community engagement programmes, including Human Library sessions, start-up sharing sessions, networking activities and entrepreneurship events (f) liaising and building relationships with colleges, faculties and departments, students, researchers, start-ups, alumni, speakers and external partners (g) supporting event planning, promotion and on-site execution, and undertaking event moderation or emcee duties where appropriate (h) monitoring and analysing digital and social media performance, and preparing relevant statistics and reports (i) maintaining programme records, stakeholder databases and communication materials and (j) performing other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree, preferably with relevant experience in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, digital media, event management or a related field (ii) good understanding of the characteristics of different social and digital media channels, with practical knowledge of strategies for enhancing reach, engagement, SEO, viewership and follower growth (iii) strong content development, copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate innovation, technology and entrepreneurship topics into engaging content for different audiences (iv) experience in social media management, multimedia production, video content, podcasting and/or digital campaigns (v) strong organisational and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and work with students, academics, entrepreneurs and external partners (vi) excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, and confidence in public speaking and event hosting (vii) a proactive, creative and collaborative mindset with an interest in innovation, entrepreneurship and technology and (viii) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua). Having experience in managing institutional social media accounts, entrepreneurship programmes, university engagement activities, or innovation-related communications will be an advantage.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
