Project Co-ordinator II, Faculty Development Centre

The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. The Faculty Development Centre is a School-led effort to advance teaching capabilities, enhance curriculum relevance to the business world, and drive impactful research through strategic initiatives that (1) foster collaborations and knowledge exchange between academics and business (2) provide professional development opportunities for continued research and teaching excellence of faculty members and (3) support faculty members in pursuing business case teaching and development.

Reporting to the Co-/Directors of the Centre or their delegate, the appointee will be responsible for (a) managing the Centre's daily operation (b) formulating strategies and roadmaps to deliver the Centre's initiatives (c) delivering the initiatives independently and/or in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (d) providing administrative and secretarial support to the Centre's Management Committee (e) supporting School-wide events and activities and (f) performing other impromptu duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours, including weekends, and occasional business travel outside Hong Kong will be required.

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 3 years post-qualification work experience (iii) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iv) strong organisational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and (v) self-motivation, and a strong ability to work independently to meet goals and deadlines. Having knowledge of centre operation and case writing in the higher education sector is an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for written test(s) as appropriate.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
