Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Digital Officer)
We are seeking a technically-skilled and user-focused Digital Officer to strengthen our digital platforms unit. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who is passionate about using data and technology to create outstanding digital experiences. You will be a key player in improving our website%27s performance, visibility, and usability, making our digital services more effective for a variety of stakeholders.
The appointee will be responsible for (a) Search Engine Optimisation(SEO) & Data Analysis: Provide SEO strategies. Conduct technical audits, keyword research, and on-page optimisation. Analyse user behavior data from tools like Google Analytics to generate insights and track key performance indicators (b) UX/UI Research & Implementation: Collaborate with digital colleagues and the creative unit to design and test user-friendly interfaces for websites, eDMs, project management platforms and other digital products. Resources, such as user guides, interactive forms, technical support and troubleshooting for users must be created (c) Web Operations: Use our content management system (CMS) to implement content and structural updates that enhance the user experience. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal users of our digital platforms, creating user guides and escalating issues when needed (d) Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring: Conduct quality assurance checks on digital assets to ensure functionality, brand consistency, and accessibility compliance (WCAG). Monitor performance of key digital services and report issues to the relevant team members (e) Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with editorial, creative, and technical units to translate user needs and data insights into functional and intuitive digital solutions and (f) Special Projects: Undertake any other assigned duties as required.
Appointees should have (i) a Bachelor%27s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Digital Communications, or a related discipline (Candidates with degrees primarily focused on general digital marketing, communications, or social media may lack the technical and analytical foundation required for this role.) (ii) at least 1 to 2 years of related experience in website operations (iii) a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and (iv) excellent communication and collaboration skills. Having knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) is an advantages. Fresh-graduates with relevant skillsets may be considered.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
