Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Career Officer)
The appointee will be responsible for (a) providing career support service to students and maintaining the operations of the Career Unit (including promoting job opportunities to students, offering career and development advice, organising alumni events, handling relationships with external employers, organising company visits and relevant recruitment events) (b) handling enquiries and operations related to student scholarships, (c) providing administrative and secretarial support to academic and research programmes (d) liaising with the University's internal academic and administrative units, and external professional organisations (e) assisting with office administration (f) handling the daily operations of the General Office and (g) performing other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 2 years work experience in the business sector, preferably in banking, finance, human resources management or related fields (iii) excellent written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (iv) proficiency in computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Chinese word-processing (v) good interpersonal skill, a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation and (vi) the ability to work independently.
Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
