Department of Psychiatry
Project Assistant II

The appointee will mainly work at the Tai Po Hospital, and will be required to work at the Prince of Wales Hospital or other location when necessary and will be responsible for (a) providing administrative, secretarial and operational support to the Department (b) providing logistical support for undergraduate and postgraduate student activities, outreach programmes, examinations, and daily operations (c) organising academic activities and events, including international workshops, conferences, academic lectures, and seminars (d) assisting in the update and management of website and various social media platforms (e) gathering and compiling data and information from different stakeholders for the preparation of documents and (f) performing other tasks as assigned. Working beyond normal office hours (e.g. for organising events and examinations) will be required.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill (iv) proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (v) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (vi) good interpersonal and communications skills (vii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation and (viii) the ability to work independently and under pressure. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for an IT proficiency test.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
