Project Assistant II
The appointee will support the Student Experience and Development Section, and assist in (a) organising large-scale events and co-ordinating University committees related to orientations (b) promoting the programmes and activities to students via social media (c) managing a website (d) providing guidance and support to students and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Working outside normal working hours may be required.
Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education or above (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese, English (Syllabus B) and Mathematics OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese, English and Mathematics): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English word-processing skills (iv) good knowledge of various computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, design applications, including Canva and Adobe Illustrator, and video taking and editing (v) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) (vi) good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and (vii) a strong sense of responsibility. Having more than 1 year of relevant work experience will be an advantage. Fresh University graduates with active participation in non-formal learning and whole-person development activities are also welcome to apply.

Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
