Project Assistant II (carrying the job title of Assistant Advancement Officer)

The College was founded in 2006 with a generous donation from the Morningside Foundation. Many of the programs, resources, and facilities that define the Morningside experience have been made possible in part by the generosity of our donors.

The Advancement Team works closely with our community to ensure the continued success of the College. The Team is looking for a Project Assistant to support the development, fundraising, marketing, communications and operations of advancement activities in respect of donor relations and alumni affairs, as well as the promotion of the College's mission and vision. The appointee will collaborate closely with other teams of the College's administration.

Reporting to the Advancement Manager and working closely with the Advancement Officer, the appointee will be responsible for (a) co-ordinating and supporting advancement and alumni events, including event planning, logistics, vendor liaison, registration handling, on-site coordination, and post event follow up (b) managing the daily operations of advancement activities, including the maintenance of alumni and donor databases, record keeping, and communication with stakeholders (c) handling administrative and operational tasks through the University's systems, including data entry, form submission, workflow processing, and ensuring compliance with established administrative and financial procedures (d) liaising with printers to ensure the timely production and distribution of publications, providing support for online content posting and (e) co-ordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery of advancement initiatives. Working outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules and campaign timelines, may be required.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) fast and accurate Chinese and English typing skill (iv) at least 1 year's relevant work experience in advancement, development, or marketing (v) strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and attentiveness to detail (vii) strong team spirit and cross-cultural sensitivity (viii) the ability to work independently and as part of a team and (ix) good IT proficiency (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, etc.). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
