Job Summary
- The Program Manager is a key role responsible for running multiple programs of Sustaining and EOL, including contingency planning and issue resolution. This role ensures that all programs and projects follow standard procedures and governance used in the management and deployment of programs
- The Program Manager contributes to and demonstrates a solid understanding of program vision and roadmap, while maintaining awareness of cross-product/program synergies and actively communicating opportunities to simplify and better align work across teams
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee the direction of multiple programs of Sustaining and EOL, ensuring alignment with world-wide cross-functional delivery teams
- Recognize key success indicators and manage work within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints.
- Manage global communications regarding release plans and deliveries, ensuring regular, active and effective communication with BU/Customers, key stakeholders, and executives
- Ability to form and lead multi-functional teams to achieve program and customer objectives
- Identify program impediments and guide proper escalation as needed, planning and scheduling programs to deliver key milestones and manage interdependencies in a timely manner
- Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies, ensuring optimal support for projects and daily operations
- Review and monitor project health with functional leaders, establishing and implementing metrics to measure and improve project performance
- Responsible for project risk reviews and lead core team with appropriate mitigations
- Ensure compliance with company security policy procedures and maintain the quality of milestones and deliverables within program requirements
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- 7+ years experience in enterprise hardware design and electronics manufacturing work-related experience required in project management or related discipline.
- Demonstrated team leadership capabilities with strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills in global teams
- Must be adept at navigating the diversified landscape with respect to country cultures, company divisions and internal hierarchies
- Job is responsible for collaborating with employees in all Jabil facilities and job roles to achieve the desired results
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, presentation and project management tools and e-mail skills required
- Prior experience driving collaboration with customers on hardware design projects
- Strong operational and financial knowledge
- Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments
- Experience working with tier 1 Cloud providers is plus
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
