Our Team
You'll be part of the POC Lab Team, a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to advancing early-stage product development and prototype execution for Molex. Our team works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement functions to deliver innovative solutions and high-quality prototypes for cutting-edge products. We are committed to fostering a dynamic and efficient environment that enables rapid proof of concept (POC) execution and new product development.
What You Will Do
- Perform fine hand assembly operations and multi-step tasks with precision, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Operate hand presses, small machines, and machine/human interfaces in support of lab activities.
- Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, escalating problems to engineers as needed.
- Read technical prints, take measurements, and apply basic electrical theory in lab tasks.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members, communicating effectively to support project goals.
- Use software tools like MS Word and Excel to complete administrative tasks related to lab operations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in assembly operations or related fields, including hand assembly techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficiency in software tools such as MS Word, Excel, and other relevant systems.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or electronics.
- Experience in prototype or development environments.
- Basic soldering skills and knowledge of machine operation or machine/human interfaces.
- Familiarity with inventory management and shipping procedures.
- Background in quality engineering or fast-paced production environments.
