Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site PhD position based in Tainan City at NCKU. The PhD student will conduct research as part of a tribology research group, focusing on green and sustainable lubricants. The role involves active collaboration within the university community and contributes to NCKU's mission in research and graduate education.

Qualifications

Background in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Experience or strong interest in tribology and green lubricants

Familiarity with experimental techniques such as Raman spectroscopy, 4-ball tribological testing, XPS, and nanoindentation

Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and fellow students

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Capacity to adapt to a dynamic research and academic environment

Motivation to address global sustainability challenges and contribute to positive societal impact
