Job Description

The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education invites applications for the position of part-time Research Assistant(s) / Junior Research Assistant(s).

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree or above in Exercise Science, Nutrition, Physical Education, Public Health, or other relevant disciplines (ii) good communication and interpersonal skills (iii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-discipline and (iv) a genuine interest in exercise science, nutrition and fitness. Having relevant experience in laboratory-based research, exercise training, nutrition analysis and proficiency in computer data processing (e.g., Microsoft Excel, R Studio) or multimedia skills will be advantageous. Fresh graduates with passion in exercise science and looking for postgraduate opportunity are also welcome to apply.

The appointee(s) will assist with research projects related to laboratory-based studies, exercise training, nutrition, physical fitness and cardiometabolic health across different populations. Duties include (a) administrative support and project coordination (b) providing assistance in data collection, data management, and data analysis and (c) performing other tasks as assigned. Working beyond normal office hours or on weekends may be required. The expected commitment is approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to six months commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
