| Major Duties: |
| (a) | To perform teaching duties, including supervision of student projects |
| (b) | To carry out duties in relation to student and academic administration |
| (c) | To develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials and |
| (d) | To participate in departmental projects and functions. |
| |
| Requirements: |
| (a) | (i) | A recognised degree in English Language / English Language and Literature / Language Studies (English) / Linguistics / Education (English) / English Communication / Translation (English) OR |
| (ii) | A recognised degree in a non-relevant field AND a relevant English teaching qualification, such as Postgraduate Certificate / Diploma in Education (major in English), Teaching English as a Second Language or Teaching English as a Foreign Language or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA / Trinity CertTESOL and English-teaching certification recognised by TESL Canada) or English for Specific Purposes (ESP). A transcript with course details includingthe number of hours of instruction and practicum should be provided for consideration |
| (b) | At least 3 years relevant teaching experience and |
| (c) | Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese. |

| (1) | Applicant(s) with less experience may be considered for the post of Part-time (Evening) Assistant Lecturer at the rank of Teaching Associate. |
| (2) | Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment. |
