Office Assistant
The University Pathology Service (UPS) of the Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology is a clinical and research laboratory providing a comprehensive range of general and specialised clinical laboratory tests and consultations for private medical practitioners, laboratories and hospitals.
The appointee will work at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin, and will be responsible for (a) assisting in daily operation, including facsimile, handling reports, scanning records and frontline services (c) handling data entry and generating reports (c) performing outdoor duties, including delivery of specimen and reports and (d) performing other tasks as assigned. The appointee is entitled to two days off a week.
Applicants should have (i) completed Form 3 education (ii) a strong sense of responsibility and be a flexible team player (iii) the ability to work independently and attentiveness to details (iv) good communication skills and self-motivation (v) a basic command of English and a good command of Chinese (including Cantonese) and (vi) accurate English word-processing skill. Having good computer literacy, including MS Excel and Word, will be advantageous.

Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
