Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care
NurseThe appointee will assist in multiple clinical research projects in anaesthesia, pain medicine, and intensive care conducted by the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, as well as its affiliated study sites, including but not limited to the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. Duties include (a) co-ordinating research studies, including ethics applications (b) obtaining patient informed consent and blood samples (c) administering study medications (d) collecting and performing basic data analysis (e) recruiting and interviewing patients (f) providing health education and counselling related to research and (g) performing other research-related tasks as required. Compliance with research guidelines and ethical frameworks is expected. Travel to study sites may be required.Applicants should be/have (i) registered nurses in Hong Kong and (ii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by The Nursing Council of Hong Kong. Having experience in clinical research is an advantage, particularly in (1) blood and rectal swab collection (2) administration of study medications (3) database management and (4) working in a pain clinic.Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.The University only accepts and considers applications submitted online for the post above via the CUHK career site.
