The Position

Role scope:

  • Develop and implement market access strategies/solutions for strategic products covering reimbursement, pricing, pharmacoeconomics/HTA strategy, and policy-related strategy to maximize patient access and portfolio value.

  • Shape sustainable pricing strategies from pre-launch through lifecycle management, aligned with overall portfolio and long-term business objectives.

  • Prioritize pipeline assets and define access pathways to ensure successful future launches.

  • Ensure payer relevant evidence is generated through clinical trials, health economic modeling, real-world evidence studies, systematic literature research and meta-analysis effectively to demonstrate the value comprehensively.

  • Translate evidence into compelling value propositions tailored to Taiwan payer and policy environment.

  • Identify patient access opportunities and/or issues/barriers and develop access solutions to address them and create access for patients for Roche innovations in self-pay market

  • Engage external stakeholders to remove access barriers and deliver value based discussion for Roche products.

  • Reimbursement:

    • Work cross functionally with PPOC, Marketing, and Medical stakeholders to develop the reimbursement strategy and engagement plan with KOL and advocacy groups.

    • Collect data and prepare a dossier for the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) submission. Highlight the key evidence and product value proposition for the payer.

    • Support policy shaping activities to support patient access as appropriate.

    • Lead negotiation and contracting processes to secure an optimal outcome for the company

  • Collaborate with the global team and other affiliates through the network to ensure alignment on the access and pricing strategy.

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of our policy and health system shaping activities to ensure the system is ready and willing to recognize, value, and reimburse our future innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Good compliance track record. No material compliance violation has been identified in the past 5 years.

Education:

  • A bachelor degree in the field (pharmacy, nursing, public health, economics, public policy). An advanced (Master's or doctorate) degree is preferred.

Working Experience:

  • Experience working on reimbursement applications and self-pay strategy is preferred

  • Some prior commercial experience within the pharmaceutical, medical device, or broader healthcare industry is essential.

  • Familiar with NHIA process of medical devices and key stakeholders.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically.

  • Deep appreciation of science and ability to translate scientific information into strategy. Ability to take evidence and other complex data and convert them into easy to understand deliverables that can support commercial use.

  • Possess an understanding of the access landscape, relevant stakeholder groups, value assessment/HTA methods and pricing concepts.

  • Possess an understanding of how policies are made within the healthcare system, including identifying key institutions and stakeholders involved and the importance of policy in shaping the healthcare environment.

  • A collaborative attitude and ability to manage multiple demands and priorities on time, influence without authority, gain alignment and drive decision making.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are a must with a strong track record of delivering results in a matrix-based environment.

  • Big picture oriented with the ability to understand the implications of reimbursement and market access trends that will affect commercial success.

  • Fluent in English communication.

  • Good knowledge of Compliance requirements and clear understanding of high standards of Integrity.
