Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Mandarin-English Medical Interpreter specializing in Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI) and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI). The interpreter will provide accurate and culturally appropriate interpretations between Mandarin and English in medical settings. Responsibilities include facilitating communication between medical professionals and patients, ensuring accuracy of medical terminology, and maintaining confidentiality during each interaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Interpretation and use of Medical Terminology
• Expertise in Translation and Interpreting
• Experience in Simultaneous Interpretation
• Strong ability to maintain accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and confidentiality
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry and medical procedures is a plus
• Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English
• Access to high-speed internet and necessary remote work tools
• Certification in medical interpretation is preferred but not required
