A multinational industrial company is looking for a Managing Director based in Taipei to oversee a sizable operations in Taiwan with P&L responsibilities.
Managing Director - Taiwan
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to all aspects of the management of the entity including setting, implementing strategic plans, and delivering outstanding financial performance, customer satisfaction and employment engagement.
- Ensuring that the project portfolio is fit for purpose, maintains a good quality of income, is well positioned for growth. This will require recommendations about where opportunities exist to carry out improvements, sales or acquisitions.
- Formulation and delivery of the annual Business Plan with year-on year profits. Setting, monitoring and controlling budgets. Closely monitoring of the cash flow position to meet current and future commitments.
- Driving and ensuring quality, product and people safety, sustainability, corporate governance & compliance.
- Drive the new culture and engage people to embark on the transformation journey.
- Keeping up to date with the market and latest technology and translate this into feasible solutions to the company for competitive advantage and continuing success.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive experience within the industrial sector, including at least 5 years in a P&L leadership. Proven track record of managing substantial business volumes and a large-scale headcount.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Possess demonstrable success of defining a growth strategy and tracked business development record
- Have rich experience in engaging and developing talents, resolving team dynamics and building high-performing teams.
- Customer-centric and technically savvy, with a forward-thinking mindset and the agility to drive organizational change.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
