The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Formulate data-driven placemaking strategies and lead the end-to-end implementation of programmes. Oversee the appointment, performance, and KPIs of placemaking partners and operators
Oversee the daily operations and activation of community spaces. Act as a central hub to collaborate with internal departments, tenants, and external stakeholders for successful event execution
Proactively cultivate relationships with partner organisations to develop collaborative programmes that amplify the Authority's placemaking impact
Conduct comprehensive reviews of projects regarding budget, operational efficiency, and KPIs , while ensuring strict adherence to corporate governance and compliance standards
Supervise, mentor, and motivate supporting teams to foster a culture of high performance, innovation, and continuous learning
To undertake other duties as may be assigned by su pervisors
Requirements:
Degree holder in Urban Studies, Placemaking, Real Estate, Business, PR & Marketing, Event & Curatorship, Art & Cultures, Heritage or relevant disciplines
Minimum of 8 years experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity in marketing, events & exhibitions management, arts and cultural programmes, or related fields
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects from conception to delivery, with strong analytical skills in reviewing budget, efficiency, and KPIs
Solid professional network with NGOs, arts/cultural groups, and vendors , coupled with in-depth knowledge of current social, artistic, and technology trends
A mature, inspiring, and resilient leader who is passionate about placemaking. Highly organised and capable of working independently under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills , with a high standard of integrity and professionalism.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
