The Role:
To lead and develop the KSP-N NPIE team, driving its effectiveness while serving as the central point of contact for all internal and external customers.
In this role you will:
Manage the KSP-N new product introduction and product test engineers
- Lead and facilitate the Entegris performance management process for the KSP-N team members. This includes goal setting, 1:1 meetings, mid-year discussions, and year-end reviews.
- Mentor each of the KSP-N team members with the primary goal of building each of the team members skills and effectiveness.
- Drive consistency and standardization in the execution of NPD projects by both monitoring projects status and mentoring the KSP-N team members on all aspects of their work following relevant documented procedures as applicable.
Act as the local representative for the NPIE team in KSP-N
- Interface with Entegris internal teams to understand their needs and develop plans to address those needs.
- Participate in customer interactions acting as the local manager of the NPIE team.
Provide support for NPD projects.
- This includes supporting NPD projects in the C/F/BC and Development phases and owning NPD projects in the Engineering and Pilot phases.
- The successful management of the KSP-N NPIE team will be evidenced by the predictability of the team's NPD projects execution to meet customer requirements.
- Success as the local representative for the NPIE team at KSP-N will be shown in the unified way messaging for the NPIE team is given during customer communications.
- For individual projects, success will be measured by the completion of goals generated following the SMART goal methodology.

What are the Position Specific Competencies
Phase Gate Project Management
- Experience with and knowledge of phase gate project management systems. As the NPIE team lead you will need to assess your reports projects to quickly understand any deficiencies and provide mentoring to enable them to get their project back on track.
Slurry Evaluation for Commercial Production
- The NPIE team-lead will need to use their knowledge of slurry evaluation techniques, such as DOE's, stability studies (ex. time and temperature), and engineering studies (ex. filtration lifetime) to review the work being completed for the NPD projects and provide mentoring to the engineers to ensure thoroughness and compliance with documented procedures.
Process Control for Non-Commercial Products
- Experience successfully using statistical process control, performing root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions using tools such as the 8D methodologies. You will need to leverage these experiences to provide guidance for your reports on when and how to properly use these tools to ensure the new products are made to the highest quality standard.
Process Design
- Be able to understand equipment design proposals, contribute to design discussions, and make informed decisions.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's Degree – Chemical Engineering or related technical field required.
- Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience as an individual contributor in the chemical process, semiconductor, food, or pharmaceutical industry with a background in process development, commercialization, pilot plant, quality, scale up or manufacturing.
- Adept at navigating interpersonal dynamics to build an effective team and resolve disagreements.
- At least 3 years of phase gate project management experience as the project owner for project definition, timelines, and deliverables.
- Exceptional written and presentation skills.
- Six Sigma DFSS or DMAIC GB and knowledge/application of related tools preferred.
Your success will be measured by:
- Ability to create and document a plan for all aspects of your work.
- All key deliverables for an initiative should be included in the plan.
- Ensure there are sufficient resources as well as the correct resources to complete the plan.
- Clearly document the plan using tools such as Gantt charts, project charters, etc.
- Your effectiveness in carrying out the planned work.
- Proactively schedule and complete deliverables to ensure key milestones are met.
- Effectively work with task owners to ensure they complete their obligations following the project plan.
- Identify roadblocks and quickly develop a plan to overcome the roadblock.
- Your ability to identify and implement continuous improvements for the KSP-N NPIE team.
- Translate high-level goals into a tactical plan for improvement.
- Enhance the team's effectiveness by aligning with industry standards while also pioneering novel solutions.
