Role Summary
The Improvement Engineer is responsible for leading advanced manufacturing process development, scale‑up, and optimization to ensure robust, capable, and compliant production with Strong problem solving capability to leading all the quality related cases. This role serves as a technical/quality authority at the intersection of process within organization, driving successful transfer of new formulations and structures from R&D into manufacturing while resolving complex process‑related quality issues through cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of new formulation and process structures transferred from R&D into manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth transition and adherence to project timelines.
- Define and maintain critical process parameters, quality control plans, and acceptance criteria for both new and existing manufacturing processes.
- Lead process scale-up and capacity expansion activities in collaboration with manufacturing teams to meet business growth objective.
- Identify and mitigate scale-up and process risks using data-driven methodologies, including FMEA, DOE, and capability analysis.
- Continuously analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve yield, cost efficiency, process robustness, and quality performance.
- Drive process capability improvements through statistical tools.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/ preventive actions for complex, high-impact or recurring process-related issues.
- Strong leader ship to solve quality issues including customer complaints, process troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing teams to ensure manufacture processes align with overall business objectives and customer requirements.
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing or process engineering, QA/QC related function, with specific expertise in electroplating, copper foil and FPCB is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills to handle technical and quality issues.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present technical information clearly and concisely
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good English communication capability.
