We are seeking an experienced Financial Crime Compliance Manager. The candidate will be responsible for the compliance framework and ensuring all business activities comply with the Insurance Ordinance, regulatory requirements and Group Office's requirement.

The Job

  • Support the team lead to monitor and evaluate the existing Anti Money Laundering (AML) control across the organization. Ensure the company's operation complies with regulatory, internal and Group office's requirements.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compliance programs, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Develop and implement effective AML policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate the risk of ML/TF. Ensure effective governance, controls, and reporting mechanisms are in place.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, such as Business Units / Operations Units, and IT on the implementation of AML-related initiatives / projects.

  • Participate in internal / external audits and regulatory examinations to provide relevant data / documentation.

  • Handle ad hoc projects/ assignments relating to AML/CFT as assigned.

The Person

  • Degree holder in Law, Risk Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related disciplines, preferably with relevant qualification (e,g. CAMS, AAMLP, CAMLP, etc.)

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in insurance industry.

  • Familiar with insurance related legislations and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and Bermuda.

  • Exposure in AML system implementation is an advantage.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Cantonese.

  • Detailed person with strong analytical and research skills.

  • Strong management skills to deliver top quality solutions and ability to manage successful relationships with stakeholders.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet all deadlines.

  • Able to work independently and to make prompt decisions.
