We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Manager, Clients and Sectors.

Role purpose (overall high-level summary of the role)

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to support our Client & Sector marketing initiatives targeting clients across key segments within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB). This role focuses on executing marketing activities that enhance client engagement and support revenue growth across key client segments and industry sectors.

Drawing on your banking experience, you will collaborate with Coverage, Sector Coverage, Strategy, Product and Marketing teams to lead the execution of marketing strategies designed to strengthen and deepen client relationships, originate new deals, increase market share. This role is ideal for a marketing professional enthusiastic about aligning industry expertise with client needs to drive commercial success.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities (e.g., for Business, Customers and Stakeholders internal control environment, etc.)

In this role you will:

Commercial Strategy & Growth Marketing

  • Support the global marketing strategy for Corporate & Institutional clients, aligning with commercial growth objectives. Assist in identifying and prioritizing marketing opportunities within the International Mid-Market, Global Corporate and Institutional segments along with relevant industries and sectors
  • Help to shape and then execute marketing programs that drive client acquisition, strengthen and deepen client relationships, originate new deals and increase market share

Segment & Sector Positioning

  • Support the development of clear and distinct value propositions that address segment and industry specific challenges
  • Collaborate with Product & Business Marketing to ensure solutions meet client needs
  • Assist in building tailored narratives that combine market insights, relevant current themes (e.g. digitalization) and the bank's expertise

Campaigns, Content & Projects

  • Support the strategic development and ideation of integrated marketing campaigns that enhance brand awareness and client engagement, and partner with cross-functional teams including Marketing Services to deliver impact
  • Assist in developing a content strategy and drive ongoing management and execution to ensure relevance for the segment including thought leadership pieces, digital content and client success stories to support marketing objectives
  • Partner with Events teams and the business on events strategy for the audience, and the delivery of strategic client forums and executive briefings that highlight segment and sector leadership

Performance & Insights

  • Track and analyse performance metrics related to brand, client engagement, pipeline influence, revenue and campaign effectiveness
  • Utilize data insights to refine marketing strategies continuously
  • Passionately advocate for client perspectives in marketing and go-to-market activities

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Work in cross-functional teams, ensuring cohesive marketing effort across various areas and regions
  • Drive strong collaboration across all business lines and segments
  • Partner closely with Coverage, Sector Coverage, Product Marketing, Communications and Strategy teams as well as other marketing teams
  • Promote Agile Principles and foster a collaborative working environment that reflects HSBC's values
Requirements

Functional Knowledge

To be successful you will need:

  • Extensive years of B2B marketing experience, with a focus on commercial marketing within global banking or financial services, and/or experience preferably in corporate coverage
  • Strong understanding of CIB segments, products and services
  • Passionate about customer centricity and the latest market trends
  • Proven ability to deliver effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Strong collaboration skills within global, matrixed organizations and the ability to lead working groups and defined initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree required MBA or Master's in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
