We calculate the internationally recognised Hang Seng Index (HSI) and Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) and continue to broaden our index range to meet a wide spectrum of investor demand for different index investment solutions. At present, we compile over 1,000 real-time and daily indexes covering both Hong Kong and mainland China.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Licensing Specialist,reporting to Senior Client Services Manager (Team Head).

Principal responsibilities

  • Handle company hotline and email communications to provide accurate and timely responses to client queries and uphold exceptional service standards
  • Investigate and uncover unlicensed use of our indexes, protecting our intellectual property rights
  • Perform audits of client usage as needed, ensuring accurate reporting and calculation of index fees
  • Conduct market studies to identify potential areas for licensing opportunities.Actively seek and identify new business opportunities by analysing market trends and client needs, driving growth and expansion
  • Identify potential leads related to licensing opportunities and communicate findings to the Client Coverage teams for follow-up and engagement

Requirements
  • University degree with proven years of experience in banking and financial industry, preferably in a client service, licensing, business development role

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with a focus on clarity and client engagement

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries efficiently

  • Experience in a client services role is preferred, with a proactive approach to upselling

  • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail to conduct market research and detect unlicensed use

  • Proactive and self-initiated to work independently and seek out new opportunities in dynamic environment

  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)

  • Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes

  • Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
