JOB SUMMARY
Lead highly complex mechanical hardware designs for customer or innovation projects. Responsible for ensuring technical milestones are achieved. Responsible for guiding other team members designs and leads technical design reviews. Ensures specification requirements input and design outputs align. This engineer will have demonstrated experience at releasing products into a production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and deliver the development of innovation and compliant thermal design solutions
- Align with front end concept architecture teams to implement total solution of system level design
- Optimize thermal solutions from total system level perspective
- Alignment and collaboration with cross functional teams on providing thermal solutions
- Project thermal development leadership for accountable responsibility
- Leads internal process improvement initiatives
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering and with +8 years experience in product design (Server)
- Communication capability to lead design proposal, presentation, issue triage and value diversity
- Ability of using 3D CAD and FloTherm thermal simulation tools
- Familiar with thermal and acoustic evaluation, validation and issue investigation
- Component level and system level analyses, experimentation, and design principles, thermal control experience
- Fundamental/advanced technology experience: heat pipes, vapor chambers, heatsinks, thermal interface materials, fans, liquid cooling, heat exchangers
