About this team
The APAC Product Creation team is responsible for all product management from initial concepting, through design, development, costing and approval to production. This product is developed via multiple calendars and working with teams across the world.
The team includes Designers, Pattern Engineers and Technical Developers. This team creates and commercializes premium product ensuring it is performing for the intended end-use. This is achieved with laser focus on the garment fit and construction and meeting the required quality and costs. The team goals are Best Product / Best Cost delivered at the right time to the guest.
We are strong communicators who develop their cross functional relationships. This is a team of high performers who are striven to develop both personally and professionally, practicing open feedback in a trusting space. A day in the life
The Junior Technical Developer at Lululemon creates world class athletic & lifestyle that is acknowledged as leading in innovation, design, function, fit and quality. Under the mentorship & partnership of the senior technical developers, you develop the line from tech pack hand-off to the production of garments.
- Maintain style data integrity and accuracy in Flex PLM and other relevant systems
- Responsible for the fit, execution of low to mid complexity styles from concept through to productionreadiness
- With guidance from a Senior Technical Developer communicate fit comments inclusive of updated stylemeasurements, construction details in line with fit comment SOP to vendors and or in house team
- Enter and update as required any technical trims in BOM ensuring accuracy
- Maintain costing data integrity and accuracy in Bamboo Rose and other relevant systems
- With mentorship from Senior Technical developers demonstrate an ability to articulate fit or prototypechanges and rational to cross-functional partners utilizing visual or verbal communication and or tools
- Create and initiate all subsequent systematic sample requests as required inclusive of measurementstemplates
- Takes a proactive approach to advancing technical knowledge through mentorship and training from technical and product development peers
- Assist in the preparation of fittings and presentations as required
- Seek guidance from Senior Technical Developers and Quality Development peers to read lab test reports and demonstrate ability to adjust construction to mitigate risk of failure
- Support in the creation and maintenance of fit and construction standards and protocols
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience focused training in Technical
- Design, Pattern Making, Product Development or relevant experience preferred
- 2 + years minimum industry experience (preferably within the Technical Design or Technical Development departments)
- Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Knowledge of Flex PLM or similar PLM software is recommended
