Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor%27s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, History or a relevant humanity discipline (ii) a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation (iii) good communication skills (iv) the ability to conduct independent analysis under the guidance of the project supervisor and (v) proficiency in English and Chinese. Those with basic science and statistical knowledge are preferred.
The appointee(s) will be assigned to research projects on archaeology and cultural heritage. Duties include (a) preparing samples for scientific analysis (b) assisting in research process administration (c) performing data analysis (d) providing administrative and logistical support for academic talks and workshop (e) writing research reports and (f) performing other related research and administrative tasks as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for six months commencing November 2025, renewable subject to mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It is the territory's second-oldest university and was founded as a federation of three existing colleges – Chung Chi College, New Asia College and United College – the oldest of which was founded in 1949.
CUHK is organized into nine constituent colleges and eight academic faculties, and remains the only collegiate university in the territory. The university operates in both English and Chinese, although classes in most colleges are taught in English. Four Nobel laureates are associated with the university, and it is the only tertiary institution in Hong Kong with recipients of the Nobel Prize, Turing Award, Fields Medal and Veblen Prize sitting as faculty in residence.
