Steer every project safely towards success

This role is part of the External Development organization within GNA/Jabra Global R&D. External Development organization owns and drives projects delivery via ODM/JDM partners. In this role, you will own, drive and manage R&D programs with external suppliers, with the support of internal core engineering team in delivering Jabra products.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, drive and execute successful R&D projects by engaging and developing with external suppliers.

Create project plan and drive towards targets by effectively navigate problems and roadblocks with the right balance in cost, quality and schedule trade-off.

Accurately scoping, sizing and estimating project resources, cost, schedule, and risks.

Collaborate effectively with engineering teams & Product management team to ensure product developed by supplier meet the experience and quality targets.

Conduct meetings with internal/external stakeholders and prepare reports to communicate program status, aligning program team, management and beyond.

Criteria of success

Maximize program value through understanding and recognizing technology needs, business case and value implications in balancing risk, cost, scope and timeline.

Effectively managing and influencing suppliers & relevant stakeholders towards project targets. Persistently drive tasks and lead program to successful completion.

Assertive and transparent with big picture mindset in communications and handling issues. Innovative and think outside of the box.

Use independent judgement but with strong internal and external stakeholder collaboration in navigating issues and risks.

Clearly communicate program status, decision requests and risk/issues to senior management as well as suggest and influence decision making by presenting options and recommending actions.

Drive cross functional innovation, serving as an inspiration driver to colleagues to attain goals and pursue excellence.

Primary relations external:

ODM/JDM suppliers in driving R&D program.

Other T2 suppliers as needed.

Primary relations internal:

GPM/BU/costing team in product targets in experience, cost, etc.

Respective engineering disciplines.

Project Management Corp team, quality and operations in meeting program targets.

Requirements

Business or Engineering degree. PMP will be added advantage.

>5 years R&D program management / technical leadership in relevant industry
