About AGS (Applied Global Services)
Applied Global Services (AGS) provides installation, consulting, spare parts, and a full portfolio of services that enhance equipment performance and fab productivity. As semiconductor devices become more advanced, AGS plays a critical role in helping customers achieve higher yield, efficiency, and cost improvements across the fab lifecycle.
Who We Are Looking For
With the rapid growth of our AGS business, the iTeam (Installation) organization is expanding significantly. We are seeking strong iTeam Line Managers to lead installation engineers and provide overall team management.
We welcome talents from below background:
Experienced Service Managers, or
Experienced Installation Engineers who have served as Team Leads supervising field engineers and are ready for the next step into people leadership.
This role reports to the Head of Taiwan iTeam Organization and offers a strong career development path into future field operations leadership.
The preferred location for this position is Hsinchu, Taichung or Kaohsiung city, and it requires on-site attendance from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop installation engineers within the district.
Manage work assignments, performance objectives, salary planning, and career development.
Conduct performance assessments and apply corrective actions when needed.
Installation Execution & Operational Excellence
Oversee installation activities including resource planning and schedule management.
Ensure installations meet expectations across safety, quality, cycle time, and cost.
Partner with the service organization to align prehandoff and execution processes.
Customer & CrossFunctional Collaboration
Work closely with remote service teams to support daily ramp activities and meet customer timelines.
Drive installation progress by adjusting resources or work hours as needed to meet business priorities.
Lead and coordinate troubleshooting execute escalation processes promptly and effectively.
Resource & Project Management
Ensure accurate tracking, validation, and approval of engineers hours.
Monitor product resource availability, capacity, and capability across sites.
Serve as a field interface for IPG/BU, supporting global program adoption and resource planning (QRAM).
Provide ongoing feedback on technical and quality issues for continuous product improvement.
Compliance
Demonstrate and uphold Applied Materials Standards of Business Conduct, ensuring the highest level of ethical behavior at all times.
Ideal Background
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience as a Service Manager or Installation Engineer with teamlead responsibilities in a field organization.
Strong customerfacing or field support background.
Experience managing remote teams is preferred (not required).
