Purpose and Scope of the Job
The purpose of the position is to provide comprehensive I.T. support to the GPEA office's, and to ensure that all major systems and applications are operating effectively.
Job Responsibilities
- Review, enhance, and upgrade existing IT system/infrastructure, design and develop technical documentations, such as system configuration, plans and specifications;
- Administer & monitor different Application Systems, Security Systems, Virtual Servers, IP-based telephony systems, organization user accounts, network routers, switches, firewalls, VPN Network; involving installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning and application support;
- Maintain the health and patch upgrades to external web server, and ensure the integrity of the server;
- Work with Multimedia Team, to ensure the video and photographic storage pools are online and available, and that adequate backups are made regularly;
- Audit computers / laptops with respect to their status, performance, and storage capacity;
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems for end users on IT equipment and software applications;
- Work with colleagues in GPI to enhance and ensure the security of the office infrastructure, as well as other related projects;
- Update, maintain the tablet devices as used by the DD Team;
- Identify and put forward recommendations on new IT trends to Line Manager;
- To perform ad hoc projects as required.
