Job Description

Established in 1987 and headquartered in Taiwan, TSMC pioneered the pure-play foundry business model with an exclusive focus on manufacturing its customers products. As of 2024, TSMC serves more than 500 customers and manufactures over 11,000 products for high-performance computing, smartphones, the Internet of Things (IoT), automotive, and digital consumer electronics. It is the world's largest provider of logic ICs, with an annual capacity of 16 million 12-inch equivalent wafers. TSMC operates fabs in Taiwan as well as manufacturing subsidiaries in Washington State, Japan and China, and the Company began construction on a specialty technology fab in Dresden, Germany, in 2024. In Arizona, TSMC is building three fabs, with the first starting 4nm production in 2025, the second by 2028, and the third by the end of the decade.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented International Assignment Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure seamless execution of global income tax compliance processes for expatriates. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in tax filing coordination, data reconciliation, and providing professional advice to international assignees.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with different stakeholders and designated vendor to process annual income tax filing, yearend tax equalization or gross up tax calculation.

2. Provide annual tax filing authorization, review yearend tax reconciliation calculation, and ensure the data accuracy.

3. Perform communication with assignees and respond to enquiries in relation to income tax / tax equalization or other expat tax related questions.

4. Prepare data analysis report and other ad hoc duties as required.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor & above degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, or a related field.

2. Detail oriented with excellent numeric skills and be capable to work independently in a fast pace operational environment.

3. Excellent communication skills and be able to share information among different stakeholders on a clear and timely manner.

4. Flexible, positive, and patient with a can-do mentality.

5. Trustworthy working attitude with passion, commitment, and accountability.

6. Able to handle sensitive and stressful situations / strict deadline.

7. Able to seek improvement in current process and challenge status quo.

8. At least 3 years of relevant working experience in expatriates tax or HR / C&B related work preferably from multi-national companies.

9. Proven Project Management.

10. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel analysis skills.

11. Excellent presentation skills.

12. Fluent in both Chinese and English. Japanese/German a plus.
