Internal Audit Specialist

Role Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and proactive Internal Audit Specialist to support the planning, execution, and reporting of internal audit activities. This role is essential in strengthening the company's internal control framework, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance across business units. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for risk management and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and evaluate internal control and audit systems
• Prepare and submit annual internal audit plans
• Conduct internal control assessments and provide improvement recommendations
• Perform financial audits and accounting-related examinations
• Draft, review, and present audit reports to relevant stakeholders
• Utilize audit tools to support data-based audit testing (Arbutus or ACL preferred)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audit findings and action plans are properly followed through

Qualifications

• Strong command of English (listening, speaking, reading, writing, intermediate level)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with internal audit, internal controls, or related functions
• Familiarity with internal audit planning and execution
• Solid understanding of corporate internal control frameworks and compliance requirements

Preferred Skills & Experiences

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is highly preferred
• Experience using audit software such as Arbutus or ACL is an advantage
• Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination abilities
• Proactive, optimistic, curious, and willing to take on challenges
• Strong logical thinking, organizational capability, and ability to simplify complex issues
